      Our Story
At Glacier Bank, we believe in relationships - not just banking, which is why we have a business focus of service at our core. That focus on service goes beyond the walls of our buildings and extends out to the communities in which we reside. We understand the immense role our communities play in our success and our employees are passionate about actively participating in the community through various volunteer roles.

      Our History
Glacier Bank's doors opened 65+ years ago in downtown Kalispell, Montana as First Federal Savings and Loan. The staff of two, back in 1955, has grown to over 350 employees in 16 branches serving the following counties: Flathead County (9), Lake County (2), Lincoln County (2), Butte-Silverbow (2), and Deer Lodge County (1).

Glacier Bank is owned by Glacier Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: GBCI), a publically traded regional bank holding company also headquartered in Kalispell, Montana. GBCI operates divisions in Montana, Idaho, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada.

Each bank division operates with their own management team in the communities we know well. This allows us to offer large bank strength and security, but operate independently with local decision making in the communities we serve. This is why the Glacier family has received numerous awards for our stability and soundness over the years.
